Thanks for the thanks

NP. With some mags, it's easily done. BTW, I've been a lurker on here for maybe a year, but just signed up as an editor today, so if you see any mistakes I might make, feel free to correct, assist, etc, thanks.

Columbia Review/not spam

Hi, D.A. Thank you so much for your unfailing work on this site. I know how difficult spam management has been because I've seen so much of it listed on the recent changes page. FYI the filter stopped me from creating a new entry for [Columbia Review] today (note this is different from the [Columbia Journal] entry we were discussing earlier). It thought I was spam twice and gave me a catchpa question each time, which I hope I answered correctly (to be or not ___, etc - maybe it's case sensitive). Finally it told me the review's web domain, which was included in their rejection, was triggering the problem (l i n k t r . e e /thecolumbiareview - spaced so I won't face spam problems here). My guess is this domain is probably one where a lot of spam comes from and it's blacklisted, but just an FYI. I was able to remove the web address from the reject and push the entry through.

Thanks again, Kentuckian

AWP

I know your talk page isn't the ideal place to ask this, but are you doing AWP? It'd be nice to meet you in person and thank you for all the work you've done creating this. --User:KentuckianinNY

Before Covid, I had planned on doing AWP this year since it would finally not be scheduled opposite my wife's birthday, but with Covid, I've decided against it. Maybe 2024 D. A. Hosek (talk) 20:33, 6 February 2022 (PST)
