Poetry rejections

Standard+?

2019

Dear first-name,

Thank you for submitting your work to Connecticut River Review. Although we cannot publish your work at the present time, we are grateful for your interest in our journal. We are always impressed at the number of talented writers whose work assures us time and again that poetry is alive and well.

The large quantity of submissions makes a more personal reply impossible, but we do want you to know that we enjoyed reading your work, and that we have to turn down many fine manuscripts for reasons of space and other limitations that have nothing to do with their merits.

Please refrain from submitting again THIS YEAR, but do consider submitting again during the next reading period: February 1 to April 15, 2020. … Ginny Connors, Editor Connecticut River Review
