Higher Tier?

We have read your submission to Zone 3 with interest and care, and we want to thank you for sending it. As our readership has grown, so has the number of worthy manuscripts we receive, for which enrichment of resources we are of course grateful. However, this means we must return more fine work than we have in the past, and our policy of not backlogging acceptances for future issues still feels right to us.

We will not be keeping your work for publication, but we hope you will submit more of your work to our magazine.

Thank you for your interest and support.

Sincerely,

[name] Ficiton Editor

Dear [author],

Thank you for submitting to Zone 3. We have read your submission with interest and care. While we enjoyed your submission, the increase in quality work we receive means we must return more fine writing than we accept; as a result, we will not be keeping your work for publication. We do, however, hope you will submit again in the future.

We appreciate your interest and support.

Sincerely,

The Editors, Zone 3
