Thank you for sending your work to Faultline. We regret that we cannot use it at this time, and wish you the best of luck in placing it elsewhere.
Dear —,
Thank you for sharing your submission, "—." We're grateful for the chance to read your writing, but unfortunately, it's not quite the right fit for the upcoming volume of Faultline Journal of Arts and Letters. We were lucky to receive a huge volume of quality submissions in our most recent window, and regret that we're able to publish only a very small fraction of this fine work.
Thank you very much for your patience in awaiting a reply, and we hope that you are doing as well as possible in the midst of these uncertain times.
Best of luck in your writing pursuits,
Faultline Journal of Arts and Letters

Thank you for sending Faultline "name of story". We really appreciated the chance to read it. Though this work wasn't quite right for us at this time, it did stand out among the many submissions we receive. Unfortunately, we have strict limitations on the amount of work we can publish and are forced to make some very tough calls and let go of work we believe in, such as yours. Regardless, please submit to us again in the future!
