"Boulevard strives to publish only the finest in fiction, poetry, and non-fiction (essays, interviews, etc.). Therefore we ask that you send only your best work. While we frequently publish writers with previous credits, we are very interested in publishing less experienced or unpublished writers with exceptional promise. If you have practiced your craft and your work is the best it can be, send it to Boulevard. As with any magazine, before submitting, read several recent issues to get a feel for style, content, quality, and form of the work we publish."

Thank you very much for sending "Title of Story" to Boulevard. Although it doesn't fill our editorial needs at the moment, we're glad you thought of us. We receive too many manuscripts to make individual comment possible, but we do wish you luck in placing this with another magazine.
Sincerely,
The Editors

Dear ___,
Thank you very much for sending "___" to Boulevard. Although it was not selected for publication, it received positive feedback from our readers. They thought there were some very strong moments in this story that were well-visualized and resonant. For what it's worth, they wondered if the characters, especially ___, needed to be a little more well-defined to make the ending have a stronger emotional impact. Good luck placing this with another magazine. Please try us again! We re-open October 1st.
