Thank you for sending your work to Acumen. I have read it carefully and enjoyed many things about it. Unfortunately, I have a great many poems to consider, and though I felt there was much to appreciate in your work, it didn’t quite make it to the short-list.

Thank you for sending your work to Acumen. I have read it carefully and enjoyed many things about it. Thank you also for your patience as we have had many submissions to consider, and I wanted to read everything carefully. I felt there was much to appreciate in your work, but due to pressure of numbers and a very full shortlist for 103, it didn’t quite make it this time. Sorry I’ve had to turn away much good work. Good luck getting it placed elsewhere.
