Dear [name],

Thank you for submitting to Augur Magazine. Every submission we receive is important to us, and we’re honoured that you trusted us with your work. However, as we’re often only able to publish 1-2% of those submissions, we have to make some hard choices. Unfortunately, we will not be purchasing [X] for an upcoming issue of Augur Magazine.

If you’d like to keep up with us moving forward, we recommend that all prospective Augurians sign up for our newsletter (http://www.augurmag.com/contact-us-today/) or follow us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/augurmag).

Wishing you all the best,

The Augur Team

Dear "Author's Name",

We’re pleased to say that "Story Name" has been placed on the longlist for our upcoming issue. This means it is now in the final round of consideration, placing it in the top 5% of pieces we receive.

This also means it will take us a bit longer to get back to you! Expect to hear from us on our final decisions in the next two months. If you don’t hear back by then, please query by emailing our Co-Editors in Chief, Avi Silver and Terese Mason Pierre, at [email protected]. Also, a quick note that your Moksha status will read "accepted" from here out, as that's the status associated with a longlist email—but the final decision will be sent to you via email!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to consider your work, and don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

Dear "Author's Name", I’m sad to say that Augur will not be purchasing "Story Name" for an upcoming issue. We received an overwhelming number of excellent pieces during this submissions period, and were ultimately able to choose fewer than 1% of them for publication. Our longlist was made up of our favourite pieces, and yours was certainly among them. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to read your work! We’re grateful for the chance, and we wish you all the best in placing this elsewhere. Toria Liao Managing Editor Augur Magazine
